Kirkwood Pride Center and Specialized Classrooms

In addition to developing this District’s Master Plan, our Education Studio created a healthy learning environment at Kirkwood High School‘s media center. Reflecting this client’s modern approach to education, use of technology, and unique brand, our designs address evolving teaching styles that encourage collaboration, provoke critical thinking and inquisitive learning. Furnishings and systems enable rapid reconfiguration of the space, both physically and with technology. This student-centered model supports a variety of learning configurations, from active, to self-directed, to project- based learning styles. Improvements to HVAC systems, acoustics, and lighting will increase operating efficiency, functionality, and boost concentration levels among students and teachers. Construction phasing was strategically planned and completed on a fast-track schedule.
