Veterans Administration Residential Recovery Unit

This new inpatient psychiatric facility promotes healing and rehabilitation in a therapeutic environment. Designs contribute to the healing process surrounding patients with a low-stress, gracious, homelike atmosphere. The Residential Recovery Unit is designed to meet the specific needs of Veterans and addresses increased demand for mental health services. Patient rooms are designed for both men and women, and surround an open central area providing a flexible space for various group functions with greater visibility permitting staff to observe all activities from an adjacent nursing station. We coordinated with the Design-Build contractor and the VA Staff to successfully bring the project in under budget and within schedule limits.
