VA Physical Medicine & Rehab Svcs & Prosthetics Facility

Lean design strategies to optimize performance and control operating costs drove the design of this large outpatient rehabilitation facility for the Veterans Administration. Departments share centrally located registration/reception, and we reduced patient travel time between departments addressing patient safety, well-being, and privacy. Evidenced-based design and Planetree principles enhance the patient experience in a beautiful, acoustically controlled, healthy environment. The freestanding building uses brick, metal roof, and other exterior finishes for a cohesive visual composition to the campus. The project is pursuing LEED Silver certification.
