BJC / Siteman Cancer Center

This new state-of-the-art cancer treatment center will offer leading edge technology and personalized advanced treatment designed to simplify delivery procedures while simultaneously enhancing the patient experience. Siteman Cancer Center includes separate entrances into a two-story volume housing separate waiting rooms and reception areas to accommodate programs operated by Washington University School of Medicine and by Christian Hospital. This facility incorporates a healing garden, natural day lighting and various schemes to enrich the human biological and spiritual needs. Wood feature elements are located at the entrances and are utilized throughout the facility to highlight reception desks, nurse stations, and conference rooms. The exterior of the structure is designed to feature signage elements and promote the brand identity of the healthcare network.

The medical oncology program includes open area for 14 infusion bays, private infusion rooms, nurse station, and staff work areas. An elegant lounge near the infusion area is available to family members. 14 exam rooms support the infusion areas along with two procedure rooms. The radiation oncology program includes a CT simulator and linear accelerator vault. Staff work areas for medical and radiation oncology are adjacent to each other to promote interaction during treatment planning. Lab services including blood draw and pharmaceutical services are accommodated in the plan.
